Booostr Weekly Progress Report for 10/4/2024: Fixes and Updates

Introduction

Another week and more updates on Booostr!  Many of this week’s updates are a bit more behind the scenes.  We are still pushing forward with a TON of updates, but at the moment there were a lot of different little issues, bugs, tweaks and irritations that really needed our attention. Things like Javascript conflicts and images disappearing or pop ups popping under instead of where they should be… on top!

Some Site Updates You May Notice…

While there are many updates this week that occurred behind the scenes, some of them you may notice on the front end.  We have made some improvements to the Google login/account creation flow and integration. There was some lagging and issues there that have been resolved. Aside from some miscellaneous pop up conflicts – that are no longer conflicting, we also FINALLY updated the CLAIM A PROFILE window and flow. This was probably the biggest update this week as the flow that was pre-existing didn’t really work with the current functionality.  While this was not a huge update, it was a consistent annoyance that just needed to be resolved.  That being said, there are a TON of things in the works on our end, and we are always trying to fix and improve issues in parallel with building and releasing new features!  Keep an eye on our weekly updates as we have some new releases happening really soon!

• SMS Text Messaging Tool – Text 2 Give tweaks and fixes

• Edit Club Listing – tweaks and fixes

To continue our shift to transparent and open development of the platform, we also want to share some of the immediate things are that we are working on releasing.

• Form Manager tool – updates, fixes and new features
• Events Calendar – Upgrade to Code and UX
• Newsletter Tool – Continued Fixes and Updates
• Volunteer Sign Up – Paused briefly while Updates to Event Calendar are applied
• Updated Front End Redesign launch – A complete rethinking of our website and application interface (in progress)

A lack of visible updates to the live site aside, this week was extremely busy. We are incredibly excited about the updates to the Event Calendar and how this will improve the overall suite of tools, its ability to share and further centralize small organization data so it is usable.
