8 Holiday Fundraising Strategies for Nonprofits, Clubs and PTO’s
Giving Tuesday is here, and the weeks that follow offer an especially meaningful window for
2025 is turning out to be an incredibly busy year, and we are only in April! Today, we are extremely happy to announce the release of our NEW Reports Section within your organization’s Booostr Dashboard. This is an entirely new area within the dashboard that houses all of the reports you need!
The impetus for this update is really three-fold. First, we really needed to standardize Booostr Reports – from their look and feel, to how you are able to interact with the reports themselves. Second, we wanted to make it simpler to access the reports. Third, we wanted to expand the types and number of reports we offered. To address all of these issues, it really only made sense to move the reports into their own section within the dashboard. Let’s dive into why we made this adjustment and how it makes using Booostr SO much better!
As we were building out tools for Booostr, in many cases we also included some sort of reporting area within each tool. This was great when we had 2,3 or 4 simple tools. However, as we have improved our systems, tools and capabilities – we have not only expanded the number of tools we offer, but those tools have outgrown that simple reporting we offered. We really began to notice this as we were reworking our user interface last year.
Cohesive Reporting
What initially stood out, was that the reports themselves were not consistent from tool to tool – there was no cohesiveness. This in and of itself can make reporting less useful and harder to use. Redesigning the reports became yet another task we included in the UX update.
Easier Report Access
The other issue we noticed with tool level reports, is that because they were buried within a particular tool, the only way to get to the reports for the tool was to go into the system, navigate to the tool, then start picking apart the reports. This is tedious if you are trying to review the reports from multiple different tools. This was one of our a-ha moments and when we first thought that it might make more sense to move all reports to their own section.
More and Better Reporting
Finally, when reviewing the reports we currently had at the tool level – we also came to the conclusion that the tool level reports were just not sufficient. They were in fact too basic and too limiting to be of great use. However, to expand the reporting at the tool level would probably be difficult and it would require a ton of interface updates for every tool. This was our second (validating) A-ha moment when we made the final decision to create the Reports Section.
Now that you understand why we built this section, we should actually walk through some of the amazing features included in the new Reports Section! This is the initial release, so while we have put a ton of work into the system, there will be further updates coming as well!
Accessing Reports is quicker now, as the section is within Organization Settings >> Organization Reports. Once you navigate there, you will see the initial four tabs across the top labeled: Account, Contact Manager, Donation Manager and Store Manager. We will be adding a tab for each tool as we expand the reports.
Account Reports
These are top level reports that aggregate data from all of the tools within Booostr into simple easy to understand reports. We are launching the first 3 reports in this section here, with the additional 2 reports to come in the near future.
Contact Manager Reports
Are reports that focus on data and stats related to your organization’s Contact Manager tool. We have put together 14 of different reports that we will be making live shortly after the Reports Section launch.
Donation Manager Reports
For any reporting you need from your organization’s donation tool, the Donation Manager Reports will have them. We are offering 7 default reports which will be launched soon!
Store Manager Reports
Under the Store Manager tab, there are 10 reports related to your Store Manager and will give you quick and easy insight into how your organization’s store is doing.
Once you start exploring the reports, you will see that we have put in a ton of work cleaning up the reports to present them in a way that is easy to understand and work with. Every report offers your team:
All of the features listed above are present in every report. Best of all, they are all consistently presented so you can easily move from report to report to EASILY access the data your small nonprofit, booster club or PTO needs. To take a closer look, create your FREE Booostr account today, because Reports are included in EVERY organization profile!
While this new Reports Section is not an outward facing tool (see our current tools offered) that engages supporters, or directly raises more money – the power of the reports, as we release them will allow your small nonprofit, booster club or PTO the insight to make more informed decisions. Easy to use, beautiful reports make your job running your organization easier and in turn can help you engage more supporters, raise more money, suprass your goals and FOCUS on your mission.
