The Wilmington Ice Hockey Booster Club, located in Wilmington, North Carolina is to be a non-profit corporation that is organized as a tax-exempt 501(c) exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.  The Booster Club is led by a Board of Directors whose main objective is to assist in securing funding to help the UNCW Club Ice Hockey team compete at the intercollegiate level.

The University of North Carolina - Wilmington (UNCW) covers roughly 8% of the team's expenses, so the UNCW hockey team relies on generous donations from alumni, boosters, and sponsors to help the team pay for ice time, referees, jerseys, equipment, travel (airfare & busses), tournament fees, and much more.
