The Napa High Choral Program is the largest and most active student organization on campus! We have a reputation for excellence in local, state, and international competitions, winning top awards for decades and touring places including Italy, France, Spain, Ireland, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Florida, and New York. Our students represent all walks of campus life, with many also involved in athletics, clubs, and academic programs. Approximately 80% joined the choral music program with no previous musical experience.  Approximately 80% play one or more sports on campus, and the average GPA of the choral students is usually 3.5 or above!

​All Choir classes meet the NVUSD graduation requirements for Visual and Performing Arts as they are all "college prep" classes.  All Choir classes meet the California State University and University of California Admission requirements (and many private college requirements) for Visual and Performing Arts. Students applying to these institutions are required to have passed at least a one-year course in a Visual or Performing Art during high school.  Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Vocal Music Workshop meet the "F" elective requirement for admission to the University of California campuses.  Students have the opportunity (although it is NOT a class requirement) to travel on performance tours each year.  Annual trips to compete at the Heritage Music Festival in Southern California with a day and evening at Disneyland are offered to ALL choir students.  More extensive trips to out-of-state or out-of-country locations are offered each year to members of Concert Choir and Chamber Choir. During the 2017-18 school year a trip to New York City is being planned for Spring Break of 2018.
