The Fort Dodge Senior High Band and Orchestra Boosters support the marching band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, jazz bands and orchestra. Students also take instrument lessons. These are for grades 9-12. The marching band performs at all home football games, two to three marching contests, Homecoming Parade and Frontier Days Parade. The symphonic band and wind ensembles perform in school concerts, State Large Group Contest and possible state or regional music festivals.  Orchestra has daily rehearsals and also travels within the school district to perform for other students, within the community to perform for community organizations and around the state to participate in contests and festivals.
