About

The Ardrey Kell Booster Club was founded in 2006 for the purpose of supporting the Ardrey Kell High School athletic program.  The Ardrey Kell Booster Club is solely comprised of volunteers, parents, faculty, concerned citizens, community friends and corporate neighbors; we are attempting to enhance/enrich the lives and potential of our community’s youth by augmenting our school system with additional resources.  For our youth to maximize as well as see their potential, they must be afforded excellent academic and athletic programs.  In recent years, athletic programs have been reduced due to budgetary constraints across the county resulting in youth with little vision, self-discipline and poor self-esteem.  The vision of the Booster Club is that our student–athletes will be physically, emotionally, and intellectually nurtured through their involvement in the Ardrey Kell athletic programs.   The Booster Club's primary activity is to monitor the needs of the school’s athletic programs, which include providing or donating: uniforms for the teams, sports equipment, maintenance of playing facilities, and construction of new facilities.  The Booster Club executes its activities through committees which operate under the direction of the Booster Club’s officers and Board of Directors.   Each officer chairs a committee of volunteers that are responsible for executing the daily activities related to each function.   The Ardrey Kell High School Principal and/or Athletic Director attend every Board meeting and are directly involved with the Club’s activities to ensure that the activities are consistent with the schools overall philosophies and the identification of the athletic departments overall needs.  To execute these duties the organization is actively involved in various fund raising activities.   These fund raising activities include membership drives into the Booster club, golf tournaments, corporate sponsorships, barbeque dinners, selling of food and drinks at concessions stands during School sports events and sale of spirit wear.  All of these fund raising activities are provided through volunteer labor. The Booster Club is governed by a group of elected volunteer Board Members according to the Constitution and Bylaws, i.e., through an annual election held in May of each year.   The activities of the Booster Club are conducted under the direction of the Board and its committees with the active involvement of the School Principal and Athletic Director.
